On Tuesday 5th August we completed the Firebrand Training Charity Golf Marathon 2025 at Wyboston Lakes Golf Club. Wyboston Lakes kindly donate the course and facilities to us for the entire day, every year, to support the cause.
It is a fantastic event, very well organised, and well attended, every year.
Since 2021, we've raised over £37,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, which is an awesome achievement by our golfing heroes for a truly heroic cause!
Thank you, also, to Royal and Awesome for supporting this cause.
If anyone is interested in joining us next year, we will go again in aid of Macmillan on Tue 4th August 2026. It's a shotgun start at 0700 hrs.
The format is 54 holes in a day - back-to-back. Round 1 is a team Texas Scramble - round 2 is an individual stableford - round 3 is a team Texas Scramble.
We have a raft of decent prizes for the multiple winners of the competitions for each winning team member, 1st to 3rd in the individual round, x7 NPs (entire day - including in 2 shots on the 9th and 18th) and a longest drive.
Discounted accommodation is available through Firebrand at Wyboston, or you can source locally, and breakfast, lunch, snacks and all cold drinks are included (via helpers in buggies throughout the day).
We ask only two things of you, if you want to join us. A £20 entry fee (contribution to prizes, food and drinks) and to fundraise in earnest for Macmillan Cancer Support (we have a team fundraising page for the event).
