Firearms for film: Rifle Specialist courseCourse will be 13-14/07/2024 in Oslo
The course is intended to familiarise or refresh students with the most common long guns currently seen in films. We will be using film replicas and training rifles/pistols in this class.
Students will work with different firing stances, perfecting their grip, magazine changes, transitions to sidearms, as well as familiarising themselves with different long gun platforms, such as AR15/M4, HKK416, MP5, Steyr AUG, HK G36, AK47, FAMAS, and others.
There is a lot of movement, running with kit and weapons on this course.
The course is open to all levels from beginner to advanced.
Cost will be Kr2700 for returning students/NSFS members and Kr3000 for new students

Places will be limited to 16. If we get overbooked, we will try to find an extra weekend for another course, though this can’t be guaranteed.
In the event of the course being cancelled by us due to corona (or the next pandemic), a refund will be issued.
The course content will include:
Familiarisation with common rifles used in film (AR15/M4, HKK416, MP5, Steyr AUG, HK G36, AK47, FAMAS etc.)
Rifle attachments- suppressors, red dots, lights, grips, etc.
Shooting stances
Transitioning to side arms
Magazine changes
Fighting from seated and the floor
Man dawn handling the weapon when "wounded"
Dynamic movement
Bounding movement
Partner work
Stress testing
The course is quite physical, so students need to be prepared to move a lot.
Students will need to bring the following for the course:
Indoor non marking shoes
Water, snacks, lunch,
Notepaper/note taking device.
Stage Combat Norway provides stunt coordination, specialist armoury services, weapon training, and weapon hire for films shot in Norway and abroad. We also provide Special Action Extras for film, as SWAT, Special Operations Forces, and armed police. We have provided specialist firearms teams on productions including Wisting season 1,2,3, Headhunters, Beforeigners Season 2, Livstid, The Lørenskog Disappearance, 22 July, Occuli, Magnus, and others.
