Join us on Sunday 3rd of May for an inspiring and hands-on in-person workshop designed specifically for women interested in firefighting. Learn skills, connect with others, and explore what it’s like to be part of Fire Rescue Victoria. Don’t miss this opportunity to discover your potential experience what it's like to be a firefighter!
Please note: Attendees must be 18 years or older. ID will be checked upon arrival.
These interactive sessions offer the chance to:
- Learn about the role and responsibilities of firefighters
- Meet and speak with current women firefighters
- Ask questions about the recruitment process and the day-to-day job
- Try on firefighting gear and handle equipment used on the job
Workshop Details: Due to limited capacity at the FRV Academy, places are limited and registration is essential. Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis—so don’t wait! When booking, please only select a ticket from ONE session (morning or afternoon).
There will be two identical 3.5-hour workshops offered on the day. Please register for only one session:
- Morning Session: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM
- Afternoon Session: 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Important Information:
- Doors will open at the scheduled start time of each session.
- Please arrive on time to check in, complete paperwork, and collect your name badge.
- No late arrivals will be admitted.
- You must wear long sleeves, long pants & closed toe shoes (Non slip).
- Attending this workshop does not guarantee a spot in the recruitment program nor a firefighter position.
