About this Event
Step into a woodside campsite at the close of the day for a calm and immersive evening of nature connection, gentle foraging and simple fire cooking. This adult-focused session is designed to help you slow down, switch off from the pace of everyday life, and reconnect with the natural world through mindful movement, observation and hands-on experience.
What to Expect
We’ll begin with a slow, guided walk through the woodland surrounding Blean Bees Eco Glamping. This is not about covering distance, but about taking time to notice — the changing light, the textures of the landscape, and the plants growing around us.
Along the way, you’ll be introduced to a selection of seasonal plants and trees, learning how to identify common wild edibles while exploring the principles of safe and responsible foraging. There will be space to pause, observe and engage your senses, creating a more mindful connection with the environment.
If the land offers suitable ingredients, we may gather small amounts to use later — though the focus remains on the experience rather than the outcome. After the walk, we’ll return to the campsite and gather around the fire. Here, you’ll be guided through simple fire lighting skills and basic bushcraft techniques, learning how to safely build, light and manage a fire in a calm and considered way.
Together, we’ll prepare and cook a simple meal over the flames, using a combination of provided ingredients and, where possible, a few foraged elements. As the evening draws in, we’ll share food around the fire in a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere.
