About this Event
If you often find yourself overwhelmed by sensory stimuli, caught in people-pleasing and overthinking, experiencing deeper and more intense reactions to the arts and social causes than the average person, and needing a long time to make decisions, you might be a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)!
HSPs have what's called Sensory Processing Sensitivity, which is not a disorder but a type of nervous system that is more finely tuned to emotional, sensory, and other data. Join this introductory class taught by HSP Karen Chambless, a local mental health counselor, to learn more about your sensitivity and how to cope with a world that is not built for us.
About the teacher:
Karen Chambless is a licensed therapist practicing in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and is a Highly Sensitive Person herself. She specializes in helping neurodivergent folks of all kinds to heal and thrive, with advanced training in treating religious and complex trauma. Karen loves teaching and is excited to offer a low-cost way to access important psychological education.
