About this Event
Finding Fatherhood
Why is it essential that we raise the voices of fathers?
Join us for a discussion around the, often undiscussed, experiences of fathers. We will hear from a team of fathers who will share their stories on grief, connection, sharing the load, community building, society’s expectations, race, and more.
This event is for all parents, prospective parents, and providers who work in the birth/parenting space. We especially encourage couples to attend together as we are certain this event will spark further discussions at home.
This event is co-organized by Mamamaria and Adapting to Love. The panel of speakers will be moderated by Rhon Reynolds and Atish Kalyan.
Mamamaria is a coaching and courses business born to support new and future parents in preparing for and navigating the most difficult job on the planet: parenting!
Through her SMART parenting course she supports parents and parents to be to prepare emotionally, financially and practically for being parents of a whole human being, not just for giving birth to a baby. She also works with companies on reducing parental burnout and offering group parenting coaching for employees.
The Finding Fatherhood event is part of the “Elephant in the Womb” series that aim at expanding the conversations about difficult but very important topics pertaining parenthood.
Adapting to Love offers workshops and consultations for new and expecting families on various postpartum topics, including babywearing, newborn sleep, equal parenting, and sex and intimacy postpartum. Zyanya has worked with families for over 7 years as a babywearing consultant and postpartum educator and holds a certificate in newborn sleep.
