About this Event
This series of yoga has been dedicated to a variety of affinity groups on campus to foster a space that is filled with love, joy, and peace. In this space, we will be celebrating love, racial/ethnic diversity, and the possibilities of yoga. These sessions will be lead by Dr. Taylor, a 200 Trained Yoga Instructor, and professor in the IGES Department at UNLV. She is co-instructed by Micajah Daniels, a Master of Public Health student researching the impact of yoga on mental health outcomes. This series is a collaboration between Black Lives Matter UNLV and the UNLV Division of Student Affairs. Each session will consist of a discourse on the practice of yoga, a physical demonstration of yoga postures, and a guided food meditation. Sessions will be provided on the second Tuesday of the month at 12:00 P.M. and the last Wednesday of the month at 5:30 P.M. starting in Houssels House in November
