About this Event
What kind of summer camp is this?
This unique camp provides two small group sessions daily to support development in specific areas your child needs support. Choose from the following options for small groups: fine motor, gross motor, language, and/or speech sounds. During our large group adventure time, we will also incorporate these skills as well as support social skill development in fun and exciting ways. This clinic based camp will be led by an Occupational Therapist and a Speech Language Pathologist collaboratively.
- Full Day: 9am - 4pm
- Half Day: 9am - 1pm
Where will the camp take place?
This camp will take place at our location in downtown Cochrane with some activities occuring at nearby parks or community facilities within walking distance.
Is this camp a good fit for my child?
Following registration through Eventbrite, registrants will receive an intake form from Ascend Pediatrics to designate the skills they wish to focus on and verify participants meet the developmental and health requirements for safe camp attendance.
Registrants should:
- Be able to independently use the washroom for all purposes
- Not pose a heightened risk of elopement (bolting/running off)
- Be prepared for light physical activity
If it is determined that your child requires an individual support person to accompany them for safe camp attendance, this will be your responsiblity to arrange.
