"How can I provide for my child after I'm gone?"Families with a disabled child face unique life challenges that often need more complex planning.
Our children need lifelong support, so we must plan for financial security across two generations - ours and theirs.
Join us at our free Parent Support Group in September, where financial adviser Valentina Pereira will speak on this important topic.
As a mother with lived experience, Valentina will share financial guidance for planning across three timelines: when we're alive and well, when we're no longer able to be the caregiver, and when we're no longer around.
There'll be a short presentation, followed by an open discussion among families. We'll have an arts and crafts table for young people too.
We often hear parents mention how much they value the connections they're able to make at our events. If you're interested in meeting others in the community and sharing experiences together, we welcome you to join us.
