Financial Foundations II: Credit & Debt
Credit and debt can feel confusing or overwhelming, but they don’t have to be. This workshop breaks down what credit really means and how debt works, in clear and simple terms.
You’ll learn how to:
- Understand what credit is, how it works, and how it affects your financial future
- Identify the main forms of credit
- Understand the cost of credit, including interest and fees
- Understand how credit cards work, including billing cycles
- Know what a credit rating is, its impact, and how to monitor and maintain it
- Recognize and avoid predatory lending practices
- How to manage debt effectively, stay in control of it, and reduce financial stress
