Financial Awakening: Conscious Wealth Reset with Katie Higbee Mindful workshop using fiduciary-grade tools to transform your relationship with money and build wealth aligned with purpose and freedom.
About this Event

Together we’ll work through guided exercises to understand and rewire how you relate to money, clarify what truly matters in your life, and build a simple system that aligns your goals, habits, and investing with purpose and peace.

Most financial stress isn’t a math problem—it’s a relationship problem. Numbers only matter insofar as they support your dreams and values. Many people lack clarity about what truly matters and often reconnect with their priorities only during moments of crisis or major life transitions. Financial Awakening helps you gain clarity from within while offering practical, fiduciary-grade strategies to transform your relationship with money.

This workshop teaches you how to make conscious, values-based financial decisions—especially when emotion, noise, and life changes might otherwise derail your judgment. You’ll learn how to turn thoughtful decisions into a repeatable system that supports what matters most in your life.

Participants will explore how to shift:

  • From reactive money decisions to proactive, grounded choices
  • From scattered goals to a clear, prioritized plan
  • From shame, avoidance, or scarcity to clarity, purpose, and self-trust
  • From conflict and confusion to confidence, alignment, and calm momentum
  • From “trying harder” to a system that supports long-term progress

The workshop moves through four phases: Awaken, Align, Build, and Execute.

Participants will leave with:

  • A clear Money Map aligned with their values
  • A prioritized goal plan for short-term milestones
  • A decision framework for spending, saving, debt, and investing
  • A foundational understanding of investments with a self-alignment checklist (risk, fees, concentration, time horizon, purpose)
  • A repeatable accountability rhythm
  • A Financial Awakening workbook and financial journal
  • An opportunity to register for future Financial Awakening events at a discounted price

Katie Higbee is a registered fiduciary with Roaring Fork Wealth Management, she holds her series licensure (Series 7, Series 65, insurance), and is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®). She brings a next-generation lens: money as an energy that magnifies purpose. Katie isn’t teaching theory—she's been advising over a decade helping local entrepreneurs, pre-retirees, young families and old families level up with their money using purpose and intention as the inspiration behind her work. Her experience also comes from lived experience of scarcity, anxiety-driven money dynamics, and the generational impact of misaligned financial power.

With a B.A. in Psychology from CU Boulder and a career shaped by service, education, counseling, and fiduciary financial advising, Katie guides people through the real work behind money: the patterns, pressure, identity, and emotional responses that silently drive financial behavior.

A Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Azerbaijan, 2007–2009) with TESL certification, Katie taught and worked internationally through her 20s—including consulting and support roles connected to humanitarian work and youth mental health. Her experience with trauma-impacted individuals and families informs a grounded, compassionate approach to financial conversations—without judgment and without jargon.

Katie chose the Roaring Fork Valley for the same reasons many families do—the mountains, the rivers, the hiking, the biking, the snow, the beauty, the pace, and the reminder to stay present. She married her husband Dan on Mt. Yeckel in 2017, becoming a bonus mom to three amazing kids and welcomed her miracle daughter in 2020. She knows the beauty of life here—and the real costs and constant tradeoffs—so her work stays grounded in what matters most: time, connection, and an intentional life. Katie’s work is deeply rooted in legacy: helping people create clarity, calm, and shared alignment—so money becomes a tool for a meaningful life, not a substitute for safety, identity, or love.
