About this Event
Free, helpful if you book a ticket but not essential.
We have moved booking for courses and open nights to Humanitix, a not-for-profit ticketing platform that has lower fees and supports charities. For data protection reasons, we can only add Eventbrite followers on Humanitix if they followed after booking something. If you want to continue to get notifications about Forth Canoe Club events, you need to get on Humanitix and give us a follow on there - Forth Canoe Club | Humanitix
We already have open nights listed, kayak and canoe courses will be open for booking soon.
2025 was an amazing year, we were slightly overwhelmed by demand for try-it-out sessions, which is a great problem to have, but this year we want to offer new paddlers more support to develop.
In 2026 we are switching things up. Try-it-out sessions will be aimed at people who are interested in joining the club, so the price has gone up, but gives you a massive discount on membership if you decide to go ahead and join.
Beginners kayak and canoe courses will start in April, there are canal and loch trips to help members prepare for longer and more demanding trips, we will offer drop-in coaching on club nights when we have volunteer capacity AND we have chilled out polo sessions on Fridays for kayakers who want to develop skills and confidence in a sociable environment.
Drop in for a chat 2-4pm, 4th April, ask any questions, we’ll have the kettle on, who knows? Maybe some bisuits as well. If we have volunteer capacity we’ll run taster sessions for a donation, if you’re interested in that, bring a change of clothes and a towel.
