Synopsis:
Genom ett brett urval av scener från egyptiska filmer med pyramiderna som bakgrund undersöker Domestic Tourism II hur dessa historiska ikoner frigörs från det tidlösa turistvykortet och istället blir en del av stadens komplexa och dynamiska berättelser.

In dialogue with Amin Zouiten's exhibition Grand Tour, Maha Maamoun's video work Domestic Tourism II will be presented within the exhibition space.
Synopsis:
Through a wide selection of scenes from Egyptian films that use the Pyramids as their backdrop, Domestic Tourism II looks at the various ways in which these historical icons are re-appropriated from the timelessness of the touristic postcard, and re-inscribed into the complex and dynamic narratives of the city.
