A film followed by a Q&A featuring Human Swan Sacha Dench.Join us for a unique and uplifting evening with Sacha Dench —“the human swan”—as she shares the remarkable story behind her award-winning expedition Flight of the Swans.
In this 90-minute documentary, Sacha flies 7,000km by paramotor from the Russian Arctic to the UK, tracing the migration path of the endangered Bewick’s swan. Along the way, she meets scientists, communities, and conservationists to uncover why these beautiful birds are disappearing—and what we can do about it.
With breathtaking aerial footage, moving encounters, and her trademark humour and honesty, Sacha invites us to see the world through the eyes of migratory birds—and to reflect on how we respond to change, challenge, and the natural world.
Following the screening, Sacha will be live on stage to share stories, answer questions, and inspire. This event is a fundraiser for Conservation Without Borders, Sustainable Frome, and the Merlin Theatre.
