Following on from our July Sunday Assembly on Top Tips for Changing the World, we are hosting a special screening of the rewilding film Why Not Scotland?, a one-hour look at how nature recovery is happening around Europe and the impact it could have here. There will also be a panel/Q&A with Morag Watson, director of Realise Earth and Colin Pendry, botanist at the Botanics. The screening is free of charge, and you are welcome to come specially for it (12.45 for a 1pm showing) or stay on after Sunday Assembly (11.30am). We plan to finish by 2.30pm.Please reserve your place at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/special-showing-of-rewilding-film-why-not-scotland-panelqa-tickets-916501078397. We expect a high turnout and need to make sure there are seats for all.
Across mainland Europe, nature is making a dramatic recovery. Wildlife is returning, forests are expanding, rivers are being set free and wetlands restored. As nature bounces back, people are returning too, finding new economic opportunities and enjoying the many benefits of a revitalised landscape.
So, if rewilding can happen in Italy, Germany, Poland and Norway, could Scotland be next? Watch the trailer
