About this Event
We are going to have an engaging evening, hearing from guest speakers on the history of the Democratic Republic of Congo leading up to the events depicted in the film. We will also get to hear from Christophe Lwiyando who will tell us about the charity we are fundraising for and what life in Congo is like today.
Along with some complimentary popcorn we will watch an acclaimed documentary looking at the involvement of American interference in the independence of DR Congo. This is set to the music of the era, legendary jazz musicians who were of the time and place and one way in which the US distracted a population from their true intent.
There is some free parking at the location and lots of municipal lots near by.
We will have some popcorn available for free.
Additional snacks and drinks for purchase at Filter Cafe.
