About this Event

In the documentary FRITZ BAUER's LEGACY, former SS guards from concentration camps face trial, decades after WWII. But why were they able to remain undisturbed for so long? And what do these presumably final trials against Nazi perpetrators mean for the survivors of the Shoah?

The Goethe-Institut Washington, in collaboration with the German Embassy Washington, presents an exclusively curated selection of films from the Human Rights Film Festival Berlin.

The opening event will take place on April 23rd at 6 pm with a welcome address from the Chargé d'Affaires of the German Embassy in Washington D.C., Axel Dittmann.

Following the screening, a post-film discussion is planned.

This event is free of charge. Guests will be treated to a selection of snacks and refreshments.
