About this Event
Screening of the film Fighting to Live, While Waiting to Die which paints an intimate portrait of artist Billie Allen, an innocent man who has spent 27 years on federal death row for a crime he did not commit. Billie’s case grows more urgent each day, as his last chance at freedom is to be pardoned by President Biden. The film is an urgent call to action, encouraging people to join the movement to bring Billie Allen home to his family before it is too late.
The screening, the first public premiere of the film in the US, will also feature a discussion and Q&A afterwards with local activists and advocates, and a postcard writing campaign to the White House. Guest speakers will include:
