Film Screening- Censoring Palestine
Come join us for a thought-provoking evening at the Host of Leyton for a screening of the documentary Censoring Palestine, which xplores the complexities of media censorship and its impact on the Palestinian narrative. Now more than ever, it's important to question and critique how the media is portraying the crimes that are being committed against Palestinian civilians, a huge number of them children, in Gaza and the West Bank.
We will gather from 6.30 with the intention to screen the film from approximately 7pm to 8.15pm, hopefully with a Q&A afterwards.
The current UK government is complicit in these crimes against humanity, supplying weapons to the Isreali war machine and refusing to categorise them as what they are- war crimes. Direct activitists such as the amazing Filton 18 are doing incredibly impactful actions that are drawing attention to the UK arms industry and its complicity, along with that of our politicians . Come along to learn about this work and how to support it.
We want to galvanize people into action- now is not the time to look away or become numb. Join us for food to share, the screening and some brilliant guest speakers. Due to the sensitive nature of the issues being discussed, we would recommend to avoid bringing young children to this screening.
