About this Event

Emma wants to become a fashion model and asks Pär Johansson and the Glada Hudik Theatre in Sweden for help. An unattainable dream for most, especially if you have a disability. Together with a group of unusual models, they begin a bewildering journey.
Join us for a film screening at House of Sweden and a chance to meet the initiator of Glada Hudik Theatre, Pär Johansson, and one of the main characters in the film, Ida Johansson, who will participate in a talk after the film.

7:30 pm - Film Starts (90 minutes)

The film CATWALK begins with Emma Örtlund, who has a disability, writing a letter to Pär Johansson, the founder of the Glada Hudik Theater in Sweden. She asks him for help to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a model. Pär is moved by her desire to be seen and accepts the challenge. Together with the Glada Hudik Theater, a group of interesting people who are not usually seen in the fashion world, embark on an exciting and whirlwind journey to fulfill Emma's dream.

This documentary film begins in an old industrial building in Hudiksvall and ends at the fashion week in New York.
