About this Event
Join us for an in-person film screening in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. We’ll be showing Trafficked Voices, which shares real stories from survivors of human trafficking in Canada, and Breaking Idol, which looks at allegations of abuse of power within the Canadian band Hedley and lead singer Jacob Hoggard.
There will be a short break between the two documentaries where Justice for Girls will join us for a Q&A. They are a Vancouver-based organization supporting young women and girls who have experienced trafficking, violence, and exploitation.
Doors open at 5:30pm, screening will start at 6pm.
This event is free and donations are welcome. Please note that the content is sensitive and may be difficult to watch. In-person support will be available if needed.
We also gratefully acknowledge the support of CBC Gem, Frantic Films and Melki Productions.
