About this Event
Join Us for a Wonderfully Weird Film Premiere
Weβre teaming up with Leeds Mind for an unforgettable premiere event celebrating Ava Boundβs most recent β and wildest β short film yet, The Witches of Pool Bottom, at the iconic Hyde Park Picture House. The event will feature two screenings of the film, plus a panel discussion with the actors, director, and members of the Leeds Mind team.
This special event is in aid of Leeds Mind, supporting young people and those affected by body dysmorphia.
Over the past couple of years, Ava and a collective of creatives have poured their time and energy into crafting this absurdist, celebratory short film. It follows Rachel, a young woman battling insecurities about her body, who learns that acceptance, hope, and sometimes a sprinkle of humour can help us through even the toughest moments. The aim is to share this film with the people who need it most.
During the event, all live donations will go directly to Leeds Mind, helping them make a real difference to young people in the Leeds region who are struggling like Rachel.
