About this Event
Join Film Fatales members for an in-person cocktail gathering in New York to prepare for some good vibes as we head into summer. Where better to celebrate cinema than at the Museum of the Moving Image?
This year we are extending an invitation to our extended community of filmmakers, film lovers, and partner filmmaker groups, as we uplift each other with like-minded folks interested in amplifying underrepresented voices in the industry… and have some fun in the process! Our spring time theme is Let’s Get Loud! From stripes to florals to funky designs - come rocking your favorite patterns or color combos.
There will be a discounted cash bar with beer, wine, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks. We will be making a toast and taking a group photo around 7pm.
Sponsored by ShotDeck, this in person mixer is for everyone interested in supporting filmmakers of marginalized genders. Capacity is limited and guests must RSVP in advance.
Accessibility Notes: The venue is fully ADA accessible. Please contact [email protected] for an accommodation.
The Museum of the Moving Image is a media museum located in Queens. It is the only museum in the U.S. that explores the central technology of the present moment. Screens are all around us. We use them to educate, entertain, and communicate. The moving image—encompassing film, television, video games, and other forms of digital media—shapes how we see and feel the world. With exhibitions and screenings on the art, history, technique, and science of the moving image, MoMI presents the real and imagined worlds of our past, present, and future. With ground-breaking education programs, digital literacy initiatives, and cutting-edge media labs, MoMI is not just a museum but also a place where we can all make sense of the forces and experiences that create our shared reality.
