Join us at 6:00 PM on May 23 for an exclusive screening of “Trial of the Road” (1971) by Aleksey German. The film explores the story of a Soviet defector and collaborationist, who, after willingly surrendering himself to partisans, seeks repentance. German’s debut feature, the film was shelved and censored for fifteen years, only officially being released in 1986.
The screening will include a brief historical introduction by Gregory McEvoy. Tea and snacks are provided.
The participation fee is $10.
