About this Event
New to drawing or looking to refresh your fundamentals, this workshop will guide you through the core building blocks of drawing the human figure.
Working with a live model, you will move through a series of short and slightly longer poses, giving you time to practice observation, proportion, and mark-making in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
You will receive direct feedback and guidance throughout the session.
- How to quickly capture gesture and movement
- Basic proportion and structure of the human body
- Simple ways to build the figure using shapes and lines
- How to see and draw weight, balance, and posture
- Techniques for loosening up your drawing style
This is not about perfect drawings - it is about learning how to look, respond, and build confidence.
What to expect
- A series of timed poses (short gestures to longer studies)
- Step-by-step guidance and hands-on drawing time
- A relaxed, focused studio atmosphere
Why this workshop:
Figure drawing is one of the fastest ways to improve how you see and draw. In a short amount of time, you’ll leave with a stronger understanding of the human form.
