About this Event
Figueroa Fit: Sweat for SoCal
Join us for a week of fitness and wellness classes to raise funds for families affected by the recent Southern California wildfires.
Located at Figueroa Eight, a luxury high-rise in Downtown LA, this event brings our community together to move for a cause. The week will feature exclusive wellness events led by Yogis on the Move and a Luxury Skincare Experience & Mitochondrial Wellness Workshop presented by celebrity skincare expert Christina Fulton by Immortal Beauty. You’ll also have the chance to spin with a renowned motivational coach, with support from Mad Dogg and Spinning, alongside LA’s top-tier wellness coaches offering classes tailored for all fitness levels.

This Class is slow-paced and gentle, as the name suggests, and works with very basic postures to increase mobility, mobilize, stretch, and hydrate the body’s extensive fascial network, and invite the practitioner into a deeply meditative internal space. Practitioners are encouraged to establish their own “edge” in every pose—to work within the limitations of their own bodies. This “edge” may change from day to day or even minute to minute within a posture. Then, practitioners are invited to find stillness so as to relax the musculature of their bodies in order to work into connective tissues like fascia, ligaments, tendons, joint capsules, and more.

Sweat n Flow yoga is a creative form of yoga where poses are linked together with the breath in a flowing sequence. The beauty of this Vinyasa style yoga is the variety. There is no standard sequence, so the style, pace and intensity will all vary depending on the teacher. Classes may be sequenced around a peak pose such as a backbend, or they might focus on a particular theme such as the chakras or an aspect of yoga philosophy. The Sweat n Flow class will typically be dynamic and focus on strengthening postures to induce perspiration.
