Discarded tires often collect rainwater, creating ideal breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Even small amounts of standing water inside a tire can allow mosquito larvae to develop quickly, increasing mosquito populations and creating a nuisance for nearby residents. Albertville Code Enforcement will be holding a FREE tire disposal event for all Albertville residents. On April 17th & 18th from 10AM to 2PM, meet Code Enforcement at the Albertville Farmers Market. Bring a piece of mail or ID for proof of residency and drop off the old tires that have been laying around.
