Fifi la Mer & Oliver Wilby return to Ashburton Arts Centre with their new updated show.
You can expect great new songs and anecdotes with the same Parisian and Kentish charm.
“Let us take you to Paris” offers an immersive experience of French music, featuring iconic works from artists like Edith Piaf, Charles Trenet, Django Reinhardt, and Serge Gainsbourg. The show is guided by Parisian-born Fifi La Mer, who sings and plays accordion, and Oliver Wilby, who performs on clarinet , tenor saxophone and accordion. Together they bring a unique blend of French musical history, covering a century of Parisian tunes, while sharing captivating tales of romance, mystery, and heartache associated with the City of Lights. Fifi and Oliver have gained recognition through sold-out shows at venues like Ronnie Scott’s and various theatres across the country. Oliver has also performed with prestigious ensembles such as the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, Ray Gelato and BBC Big Band. Their engaging performance has been featured in the NatWest advertising campaign. Audience testimonials praise the show for its captivating music, entertaining storytelling, and the charming, talented duo’s ability to create a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.
