Durga is the one you call on when the going gets tough. She is also the protector with the power to support you in meeting life’s challenges. Durga has many arms , with many weapons or ways to conquer the battles both internal (self inflicted) and external(life lessons). She resides in the powers of strength and courage. She asks: If you could focus on one word or phrase that would empower you for the coming days... what would that be? Durga encourages you to meet the challenges you face as their equal, to look at difficulty as opportunity, and keep the light and energy of progress alive.
Please Join Behnje for this deeper dive into your Yoga practice! She will explore the many facets of Durga through a guided visualization, pranayama, mantra & mudra. This will set the tone and tap us into the qualities of courage and strength. Behnje will select an asana focus that opens the heart and supports you to stand in our own power.

An Intermediate student is someone that has practiced yoga and can keep their attention and focus in a 2+ hour class. They are also familiar with their limitations, and curious to know more. Intermediate students are encouraging and celebrate each others accomplishments regardless of skill level.

Behnje Masson is an E-RYT 500 Certified Hatha Yoga teacher with over over 25 years teaching experience. She began her study of Yoga in 1993. She received her Anusara certification in 2004 and served on the National Certification Board for Anusara Yoga for 8+ years. Behnje continues her studies with many great teachers and with her mentors Desiree Rumbaugh and Douglas Brooks with whom she has studied the last 20+ years.
