Trip/area Description: On this walk, Guide Steve Palmquist will introduce participants to the many and varied native plants along a park trail. Participants will learn to identify plants and learn ways to introduce Florida native plants into their own yards.
Sebastian Inlet State Park lies within a beautiful stretch of barrier island along central Florida’s east coast where land meets sea. Sebastian Inlet is a manmade cut through the barrier island. This main feature of the park connects the Atlantic Ocean with one of the most biodiverse estuaries in the world, the Indian River Lagoon. Stretching over three miles of barrier island, the park spans 1,000 acres.
