Unique opportunity to visit the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve (SMER). This is a research facility run by San Diego State University. They offer guided hikes and bird walks.
Children are welcome. NO dogs, please.

9:00 Register at the gate and park at the North Station.
9:30 Welcome and overview.
10:00 Walk down to the Santa Margarita River.
11:00 Walk back up to the North Station.
11:45 Depart
12:00 Return to carpool site.
