Trip/area Description: City of Vero Beach park along the Indian River Lagoon. Good trip for beginning birders. We’ll search for birds in the Live Oak canopy, shoreline mangroves and on the Lagoon. Guide Leah Blythe will demonstrate the use of Merlin and eBird that will enhance your birding experience.
Duration of trip: 1-1.5 hours
Walking distance: About 1-2 miles
Degree of difficulty: Easy walking along trails but some sandy or grassy areas may be somewhat uneven.
Where you’d like participants to meet: North side of the tennis building near the bike rack. Parking available nearby.
Time of meeting: 9:00 am
