There is no better small field camera than the Fujifilm X100VI. With a fixed lens for simplicity, incredible film simulations, simple ergonomics, and 40MP, this unassuming camera is capable of so much. For photographers working in the Digital Age, it is common to allow our images to remain in the electronic confines of social media and a growing stack of hard drives. For the discerning photographer, however, there is another option: print.Printing our work forces us to apply a level of critical thought often absent in the online world. We must ask ourselves what is good enough to make the cut, or what's good enough to be a cover, or a powerful ending image, and this extra focus on the photographs is what makes print so important.
Dan Milnor, photographer and serial bookmaker, will walk participants through his process for taking his X100VI files from the camera to print. We will cover his editing philosophy, his approach to sequencing his imagery, and show how he turns digital shoots into beautifully designed publications, ranging from the high-end to the experimental.
