About this Event
Field Day is launching this summer with a full line-up of grown‑up play. Tag, kickball, tug‑o‑war, and all the throwback favorites—paired with adult comforts like morning coffee and a provided lunch. Brought to you by Red Rover Movement, the nonprofit that designs playful outdoor experiences for grown-ups to raise funds to send kids to camps, afterschool adventures, and nature-based programs—especially those who face barriers to access.
Join us for one, two, or all three Field Days —each one a full day of grown‑up play, classic games, and easy outdoor joy. Pick the date that fits your vibe, or make it a three‑event streak and soak up the whole season with us.
- June 27 — Driskell Park, Large Pavilion, Hyattsville, MD
- August 29 — Rock Creek Park, Picnic Grove #1, Washington, DC
- September 19 — Rock Creek Park, Picnic Grove #24, Washington, DC
The full series pass is your chance to enjoy three full days of activities, lunch, coffee, and new connections, all while directly supporting outdoor play opportunities for kids in our DC and Maryland communities. With everything included, the $500 series pass is a strong value and the best way to experience the full spirit of Field Day. Our early‑bird series pass is priced even lower, so it’s worth locking in your spot before those limited tickets are gone!
If the full series doesn’t fit your schedule, you can choose a two‑day pass or a single‑day pass. Every option helps us give back to our local DC and Maryland communities by fueling more outdoor play for kids.
This is Red Rover Movement's marquee fundraising series, the joyful engine that powers more play across Maryland and DC. Think of it as a gala without all the fuss: no formalwear, no long speeches, just a full day of grown‑up play that does real good. If you’re able to give above the ticket price, every additional tax‑deductible dollar expands our grants program and brings even more outdoor joy to local kids and communities.
And ... If you’re a parent, you already know: kids get plenty of chances to play. Field Day is your turn. By keeping this event adults‑only, we’re giving you space to pause the responsibilities, be fully present, meet new people, and relax without little hands tugging at your sleeve.
