Fiber Collective is back with our summer pop-up, a relaxed and creative afternoon where makers of every level are welcome to shop, stitch, and connect.
Stop by anytime between 11am and 4pm to browse new summer-weight yarns and fiber arts supplies, work on something you've been putting off, or try a brand new craft with hands-on help from our instructors.
Here's what you can expect:
- Hands-on instruction in crochet, embroidery, felting and weaving
- New summer-weight yarn and fiber arts supplies for sale
- Open craft all day, bring a WIP or start something new
- All levels welcome, no experience needed
Instructor access is $15. Bring a project you need help with, or grab a supply kit on-site and learn something new from scratch. Kits range from $15 to $30 depending on the discipline.
Meet Your Instructors
- Stitch Worker — Embroidery
Erin brings her love of embroidery with approachable, hands-on instruction for all skill levels. She'll help you get started on a project of your own or work through something you've been wanting to try. - Maddy Wilson Art — Felting
Maddy is a multifaceted artist with a background in illustration, pet portraits, and fiber arts who has been felting for over three years. She'll be leading dryer ball decorating, pre-made dryer balls are available on-site to decorate and take home same day! - Yarn Hoarder Goods — Weaving
Jamie is a central Virginia fiber artist whose love of knitting grew into spinning and eventually weaving. She'll be leading woven bookmark making, a satisfying beginner project you can complete and take home in one afternoon. - Nikki — Crochet
Your host and the heart behind Fiber Collective! Nikki will be leading a granny square workshop perfect for making book or tablet covers. A great beginner project with a practical finish, you'll leave with a new skill and something you'll actually use.
