This event will take place in the Student Center on the FHS campus.
The College application process can be overwhelming and intimidating for both parents and students. There are a myriad of decisions, conflicting information, and as the result the stress level tends to be high. Come join us for this informative lecture on "College Planning Road Map - Freshman and Sophomore Class". This workshop will provide the attendees with an understanding of the application process for the Junior Class, and how to reduce the stress of getting through it all.
The session will focus on the following topics:
- Admission puzzle
- Academics planning, Testing options, and extracurricular activities
- College profiling and selection
- Essays, applications, and submission strategies
- Scholarships & Financial aid
- Summer planning (internships, workshops, academics, etc.)
- Managing the stress of the process
- List of sample resources
Please come prepared to take notes. Photos or recording of the lecture is prohibited, and there will be no handouts.
This is in-person presentation. No Zoom option will be available.
