Free Chili for “We the People” Award
REGISTRATION IS FOR THE 1ST 30 CHEFS. If you sign up and do not show on May 28th you will not be allowed back for this event. You MUST register in store to compete. You will have to sign a waiver. Registration starts today and ends May 22nd.
Rules:
You must be available on May 28th from 11am – 1pm for the event.
You must cook enough chili to fill a large size crock pot.
You must cook the chili the night before the event (not at the store)
You must make a small sign and name your chili. (family appropriate names only plz)
Rules to win.
You must be 21 yo or older to enter.
You must be able to pass a background check if you win the prize. If you can not pass the background check, the person with the next highest votes will win.
You must be a Florida resident.
Judging:
1st place winner will be peoples choice.
People will vote for their favorite chili. The Chef with the most votes will take home the prize and trophy.
Also, FFA will have a master chef judging 1st place. This judge will also pick the top chili categories, Hot, Sweet, & original with trophies. The Master Chef top pick will win a $300 FFA gift card. 2nd Place will win a 1 year Family FFA membership.
Judging will be scored by aroma, color, consistency, taste, and aftertaste.Chefs are allowed to invite as many people as they wish to this event.
FREE chili while supplies last. Everyone that comes in will get 1 ticket to vote for their favorite chili. Help FFA find the best chili chef in Tampa Bay.
FFA will supply the bowls, forks, napkins, tents, tables, chairs, electrical outlets and tickets.
Chili cook off. Try some of Tampa's best chili in town FREE of charge and vote for your favorite Chef.
