Festive Winter Arrangements craft workshop in Montgomery County, Md.

Winter arrangements made from greens, colorful flowers and berries add a festive note to any home, office, or school. Make a one-of-a-kind arrangement for yourself or to offer as a gift.

You will build your arrangement in a festive 5- by 5- by 5-inch gold or silver galvanized metal display container. It contains floral foam that you can soak in water to preserve the fresh elements of your display. Your finished display will be about 8 to 10 inches tall and about 10 to 12 inches wide.

Build your one-of-a-kind arrangement using a fun assortment of supplies such as:

• Fresh greenery (pine tree branches)
• Pinecones
• Shiny berries and beads
• Colorful dried and cloth flowers
• Glittery ornaments
• Ribbon

This workshop is open to crafters of all ages, but anyone under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Vanessa is a third-generation crafter who works primarily with found object from out in nature or from thrift stores, garage sales and estate sales. She loves nothing more than to give something new life.
