Join me at Santosa for a 2.5 hours festive calligraphy workshop where you will learn the essentials of modern calligraphy using a brush pen to create beautiful and unique hand lettered gift wrap and gift tags.
You'll start by learning the essentials to get you started with modern calligraphy :
* how to set up your space / hold pen and paper for comfort
* the basic strokes that form letters
* practising writing the alphabet,
* joining letters to form words,
* practising writing festive words and phrases.
Using the technique you've learned, you will add festive words and phrases to the provided gift wrap and gift tags.
All materials are provided and for you to keep to continue your practice at home. A Coffee/Tea and a cake from Santosa is also included.
Your calligraphy kit includes:
- workbook with practice sheets, templates and guidelines
- 1 brush pen (medium nib)
- 2 sheets of wrapping paper,
- gift tags
- 1 Kraft paper bag with handle
There will be different sizes and colours of brush pens to use during the workshop.
The workshop is suitable for beginners and it doesn't require neat handwriting or drawing skills. You will be guided through the essentials of modern calligraphy with demonstration and 1-2-1 guidance.
