Join me at Abbot House for a 2.5 hours festive calligraphy workshop where you will learn the essentials of modern calligraphy using a brush pen to create beautiful and unique hand lettered gift wrap and gift tags.
You will learn:
- how to set up your space / hold pen and paper for comfort
- the basic strokes that form letters
- how to connect your breath with the pen strokes
- practising writing the alphabet,
- joining letters to form words,
- practising writing festive words and phrases.
Using the technique you've learned, you will add festive words and phrases to the provided gift wrap and gift tags.
All materials are provided (workbook, brush pen, wrapping paper, gift tags) which you will take home to continue practising your new skill.
No experience in calligraphy needed. The class is suitable for beginners as you will be guided through to the essentials of modern calligraphy with demonstrations. I will also provide you with one-to-one tuition.
