Festival of Trees & Holiday Activity Fair

The Gloucester Resource Council invites all GRC members, including nonprofits, government organizations, and private businesses, to participate in the second Festival of Trees! Whether you come to every meeting, or haven’t been in years, we would love to have you join us.
Join us on Main Street as it is turned into a holiday wonderland full of joy, kindness, and holiday cheer. With your help, we will raise awareness and support for the many nonprofits, businesses, and government organizations that help make our community great.
🌲🌲What: Holiday "trees" that tell the story of your organization set up for public display ahead of the Christmas parade and tree lighting.https://gloucesterva.gov/parks-recreation-tourism/programs/christmas-and-holiday-parade-tree-lighting
🗓️ When: Saturday, December 6th, 2025 starting at 10am
📍Where: Tucker Park
☃️Why: Introduce or strengthen awareness of your organization’s mission and work in the area to thousands of locals. Approximately 2,500 people came to the parade last year!
🌲How: GRC members that register will have a spot in Tucker Park to display a tree that promotes their organization’s mission and/or services. Your tree should tell the story of your organization.

🌲🌲What: Heart of the Holidays Activity Fair
🗓️ When: Saturday, December 6 from 11am-3pm
📍Where: In front of Building 2 (across from Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church) – 6489 Main St
☃️Why: To promote the resources available in our community and to encourage involvement and engagement of Gloucester and surrounding area residents.
🌲How: Offer a holiday-focused activity that could offer a chance to talk about your mission. We encourage you to think creatively about what activities and giveaways you will provide to make meaningful connections with the community. This isn’t a resource fair, so typical promotional items aren’t necessary. Reach out if you have questions!
👉These could include holiday spirited crafts or interactive activities that spread awareness like:
❄️Behavioral health organizations making stress reducing calming toys with a holiday theme
❄️Aging services organizations making cards for residents at facilities
❄️Housing providers building gingerbread houses with graham crackers

🗓️ The deadline to register for both the Festival of Trees and the Heart of the Holidays Activity Fair is November 21, 2025.
There are no limits to the creative experience that shares the mission and vision of your organization or business. We can’t wait to build this fun and engaging event with you for our community!
