Featured Festival Artist
The Tender Season by Oklahoma artist Greg Erway is the featured art piece for the 60th anniversary of Festival of the Arts. This painting done in oil reflects on the quiet but unmistakable arrival of spring in Oklahoma. Inspired by familiar seasonal markers—Redbud trees bursting into bloom and the return of the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, the state’s beloved bird—Erway captures a moment that signals renewal across the landscape. With The Tender Season, Erway celebrates this fleeting yet powerful transition in nature, presenting a visual reminder of renewal, optimism, and the fresh start that accompanies the changing of the seasons.
