Under the direction of Gil Peltola, the Lee County Community Band continues its mission of providing high-quality musical entertainment to the community at no cost.Founded in 1885 as the Fort Myers Brass Band and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1982, the Lee County Community Band is one of the oldest continuously operating community bands in the United States. Its more than 60 volunteer musicians—amateur, semi-professional, and professional—share a passion for music and a commitment to community service.
The remaining concert this season will take place on April 12, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Mariner High School Auditorium.
