The Festival of Design and Engineering 2026

📍 Location: 3rd Floor, Fusion Building, Bournemouth University Talbot Campus
The Festival of Design and Engineering is a showcase exhibition where our students’ creative skills, designs and prototypes are displayed to industry, commerce, friends, family and the general public. Our students will be on-hand to talk about the technologies they have employed to design solutions to real world problems, encompassing market need, function, sustainability, style and aesthetics.
The Festival takes place at our Talbot Campus and features the designs, models and prototypes created by our students. We are open to the public, industry & commerce, friends & family, Schools & Colleges.
Day 1: Thursday 18th June - Industry Day
- Arrival Session - 9.30am - 10am
- Exhibition open: 10am - 4pm
- Lunch: 12.00pm
- Key Note Speaker: 1pm -2pm
What to expect at our Industry Day?
If you work in Design and/or Engineering, join us for an inspiring day at our Festival of Design & Engineering.
The day will begin with an arrival session where the event will be opened, and the overview for the day will be given, and time for networking with other industry professional and univeristy academics. The festival will then open at 10am, where you will be able to go and see our students work and engage with them. Lunch will be provided at 12.00. There will be an exciting Industry Key Note presentation at 1pm, with other evetns such as Dragons Den pitches from students throughout the day. Expect thought-provoking insights into cutting-edge design and engineering innovations, industry trends, and creative problem-solving.
Whether you're a professional, an academic, or simply passionate about design and engineering, this is a great opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and celebrate innovation.
Day 2: Friday - 19th June - General Public
- Open to Schools & Colleges 10am - 12pm*
- Open to the Public 12pm - 4pm

Day 3: Saturday 20th June - General Public
