La 3e édition du Festival Lourd est officiellement lancée.Deux soirs de musique lourde dans toutes ses formes. Une variété de groupes provenant de l’Ontario et du Québec qui feront vibrer la salle du Minotaure, chacun à leur façon.
Depuis le tout début de cette aventure, notre objectif est simple : créer un véritable point de rencontre pour cette sphère de la scène heavy de l’Outaouais et d’Ottawa. Nous cherchons à inviter des groupes qui partagent la même vision que nous — celle d’une communauté unie, d’un esprit de collaboration et de partage.
Le Festival Lourd a toujours eu une vocation modeste et authentique. C’est d’ailleurs cette vision qui nous a menés à adopter la formule « contribution volontaire », afin de garder l’événement accessible à tous, tout en encourageant le soutien direct aux artistes.
Cette édition marquera également un moment fort : le retour sur scène de Loviatar et Merdarahta, deux groupes mythiques de la scène lourde d’Ottawa, après plus de six ans d’absence.

The 3rd edition of Festival Lourd is officially announced.
Two nights of heavy music in all its forms. A diverse lineup of bands from Ontario and Quebec will make the Minotaure shake in their own unique ways.
Since the very beginning of this adventure, our goal has been simple: to create a true meeting point for this side of the heavy music scene in Outaouais and Ottawa. We aim to invite bands who share the same vision as we do — one built on community, collaboration, and mutual support.
Festival Lourd has always remained modest and authentic at its core. That vision is exactly why we chose the “voluntary contribution” format — keeping the event accessible to everyone while encouraging direct support for the artists.
This edition will also mark a powerful moment: the return to the stage of Loviatar and Merdarahta, two legendary bands from Ottawa’s heavy scene, after more than six years away.
