About this Event
PALME D’OR NIGHT is Erie Labor Temple’s high-fashion, high-focus cinema salon: a Cannes-inspired evening built around the biggest prize in international film.
We start with SHORTS OPEN — a curated mini-screening of short films (local work + cleared/public-domain selections). Then we gather for the Palme d’Or winner reveal, followed by a moderated discussion that treats cinema like an art form, not background noise.
This is not “movie night.”
This is a room for people who watch.
What to expect
- Curated Short-Film Block (local + cleared/public-domain selections)
- Palme d’Or Winner Reveal (live announcement viewing)
- Cinephile Salon Discussion (craft, taste, controversy — bring reasons)
- A focused atmosphere: phones down, eyes up, the room goes quiet when the screen lights
Admission
Free to the public.
Donations gladly accepted — your support helps power additional events like this at Erie Labor Temple.
House rules (simple, serious)
- No spoilers outside the room.
- If you loved it, say why. If you hated it, prove it.
- Respect the room: this is a listening space.
