This year's Gill Centioli Award winner is the dedicated and tireless Italian community volunteer Jeff D'Amelio. Over the years, he has held office in just about every organization including President of the Seattle-Fidele Lodge of the Sons & Daughters of Italy in America.The 2024 recipient of the Patricia DeLaurenti Volunteer of the Year Award is the chair of Children's Activities at Festa every year for a decade, Matthew FitzGerald. He has also been the youngest Festa Board Member for at least that long as well.
This year’s Keynote Speaker, Tessa Floreano, is an author and community historian who lives near Seattle. She writes about the history of Italians in the Pacific Northwest and Europe, both real and imagined. She wrote a first-of-its-kind nonfiction book about Italians in the Pacific Northwest and hopes to release a documentary by the same name. The title of her presentation at the Luncheon is ITALIANS IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST: 1880 to 1950. She will have signed copies of her book for sale after the event.
