The Fernbank Jim Cherry Memorial Planetarium has new shows for the fall and the 7pm show is From Earth to the Universe. Here is a description from the website:
"From Earth to the Universe is the world’s first full-length full-dome planetarium movie freely available for planetarium use. It is released here in high-resolution 4k full-dome format, for the worldwide planetarium community to download and use. This stunning, 30-minute voyage through time and space conveys, through an arresting combination of sights and sounds, the Universe revealed to us by science"
The show starts at 7pm so I am putting the start time at 6:45 to give people time to meet there look at the exhibits. We will meet inside downstairs at the doors to the theater at 6:50 to see the show.
The show lasts 30 minutes and the observatory upstairs opens at 8 so if the weather is clear, the observatory telescope will have viewings the moon, planets and other fun things in the sky.
Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids & seniors and can be only purchased on the website: Jim Cherry Memorial Planetarium(http://www.fernbank.edu/planetarium.html)
This is the Fernbank across the street from Fernbank Elementary School, NOT the national history museum off Clifton Road.
Hope to see you there!
