About this Event
The Fermentis team, in collaboration with Oritag and Blue Smoke, is pleased to invite you to the 2026 edition of the Fermentis Academy. This half day session provides you the latest information and answer your questions about yeast, bacteria, and fermentation. Our aim is to help you as a brewer create the beer you want by understanding all there is to know about the fermentation world!
We will cover the following topic:
The Ideal Lager Yeast Strain for Unlocking Fruity Aromas: Interest in lagers is surging within craft brewing segments, challenging the notion that these beers are bland or one-dimensional. As innovative styles emerge, Fermentis introduces the cutting-edge lager strain—SafLager™ SH-45—engineered to unlock unprecedented aromatic potential. SafLager™ SH-45 distinguishes itself by enhancing thiol biotransformation, amplifying passion fruit, citrus, and tropical notes in lagers through the liberation of thiol-bound hop compounds. Complementing these advancements, our presentation will also delve into proprietary research and statistical analyses, underscoring the efficacy of these strains in balancing clean fermentation with bold, fruit-driven profiles.
