About this Event
Learn the basics of fermentation AND how to make your very own hot sauce! This "all supplies included" workshop will send participants home with their own jar of hot sauce made in class and the knowledge to create your own fermentations at home. Fermented hot sauce would also make a thoughtful homemade gift for the holidays! 🎁
What is fermentation? Fermentation is a simple, natural technique that lets you preserve and stretch the life of your produce, allowing you to simultaneously make complex-tasting preserves and tackle food waste right in your own kitchen.
Who is this workshop for? Everyone! Whether you're a hot sauce enthusiast, looking to add some extra heat to your dishes, or just wanting to learn new ways to extend the life of your food at home, this workshop is perfect for all levels.
This event is facilitated by Chef Brad Hendrickson, of Biota Fermentation.
This event is hosted at Food Stash Foundation, a local non-profit that rescues 130,000+ pounds of good food per month that was bound to be wasted, and redistributes it to 50+ other charities and through their own in-house programs.
